As a Cybersecurity Analyst at Cisco Systems, you’ll protect critical infrastructure and data from cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive systems. You’ll monitor security tools, conduct threat assessments, and respond to incidents with precision and urgency.
Your day-to-day tasks include performing vulnerability assessments, reviewing system logs, analyzing intrusion attempts, and implementing prevention strategies. You’ll manage firewall rules, deploy endpoint protection, and work with SIEM tools to detect anomalies and suspicious behavior across networks.
Cisco is at the forefront of secure enterprise technology, and you’ll be involved in safeguarding both internal systems and external client environments. You’ll collaborate with IT, engineering, and legal teams to maintain compliance with international security standards (such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR).
A degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or computer science is required, along with relevant certifications like CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+. A strong knowledge of Linux/Windows systems, network protocols, and scripting (Python, Bash) is also essential.
